We have hundreds of contracts with schools and colleges throughout East Anglia for Health and Safety checks and for the servicing, maintenance and repair of their kilns and pottery equipment. A yearly inspection is normally necessary on kilns.
Our industrial customers are given a prompt service to ensure they experience the minimum amount of "down time" on their furnaces and ovens.
Kilns are large and heavy items to move around, so it is necessary to discuss with our sales department or request a site survey locally. This would be free of charge in Essex.
Front loading kilns would normally be delivered on a large 18 ton tail-lift lorry. Therefore the lorry has to get near your house. The kiln would be lowered to the ground on the tail-lift and moved on a pallet truck. The ground must therefore be even, firm, have no steps and no narrow doorways or turns.
Kilns can be built on site but we suggest this is avoided as this greatly increases the cost.
